Los Angeles on Saturday Morning at 8:30 am. (You may also start your journey
from Fullerton, Santa Ana, or Irvine. )
Watch the
scenery, cars and railroad crossings fly by as the train races to San
Diego! Enjoy some refreshments,
delivered to your room by your Porter! Arrive in San Diego about 11:20 AM,
ready to enjoy all that San Diego has to offer. The car (and your Pullman hotel) will be parked in front of the San Diego Station for your use during your stay. The station is centrally located a block from the waterfront and close to everything! You have all day Saturday to go exploring and then try some of San Diego's best reatraunts like Anthony's Fish Market, Ruth Chris Steak House, the restaurants of Little Italy or dozens of other choices.
When you get
back, your bed will be turned down for you, ready for a good nights
sleep aboard a vintage Pullman car - a truely unique experience!
Wake up the next
morning ready to go! The Grand Central Cafe next door is a great place for breakfast, then enjoy a full day in San Diego –
Sea World, Balboa Park the San Diego Zoo, or shop downtown or at nearby
Horton Plaza or Seaport Village.
Be back in time
for our departure at 6:20 PM. Arrive in Fullerton at 8:30 PM or Los Angeles at
9:05 PM Sunday evening.
First Class
sleeping accommodations aboard the Pacific Sands:
The Pacific Sands features
traditional single person "roomettes" and two person
"double bedrooms". All rooms have toilet/sink facilities,
individual temperature control, fans, small closet. Couples have the
choice of a double bedroom, (Upper and Lower berth) or in individual
"right across the aisle" roomettes. Two Double Bedrooms may
also be joined together to form a suite for a family of four. The car is
equipped with a shared shower and also features a kitchenette at the end
of the car.
FARES:
$169 for a single occupancy roomette
$338 for a double bedroom (includes 2 passengers)
$636 for a suite (includes 4 passengers)
